Emanuel's Garden is a private family book of gardening knowledge, open to family and invited readers. This page is open to everyone, to show how it is drawn and animated.
Everything moving here is SVG, animated in the browser with TypeScript. The corner vines grow when the page loads. Then their leaves and flowers stir in one shared breeze, with gusts that sweep across the page in the direction the wind blows, and now and then an insect stops by. The drawings sway in the same wind, each leaf answering on its own spring, so it lags, overshoots and settles.
Try the Vegetables and Flowers switch at the top of the page: the drawing and the vines change with it.
Nothing moves for readers whose device asks for reduced motion.
